DIGICO SD10 SPRUCES UP BEAT LIGHT SOUND and MEGA SOUND INVENTORY

Beats Light & Sound, a rental company based in New Delhi, and Mega Sound- an AV rental company currently operational in Ahmedabad and Udaipur have recently added DiGiCo SD10 digital mixing console along with 2 x D2 racks to their inventory. The purchase was facilitated by authorized India Digico Partner, Hi-Tech Audio Systems, New Delhi.

Beats Light & Sound Invests in DiGiCo
Since 1996, Beats Light & Sound, New Delhi has been providing diverse and exciting entertainment solutions for various events like concerts, music festivals, corporate and sporting events, theatrical productions, public assemblies and cultural events.

Spearheaded by Sanjay Chaudhary, the organization believes in providing latest technology in sound and lighting.

“Being in a demand-driven industry, we have to upgrade our inventory with the latest products. We recognized that SD10, with its price point, vast capability, latest cutting edge technology and great user-friendly interface would make it a perfect fit. The number of input and output channels is really impressive and I believe at the moment the DiGiCo SD10 is one of the most rider-compatible consoles in the industry. My engineers are pleased since they can do much more with this board,” said Sanjay.

He further added, “TheDiGiTuBes and dynamic EQs add control to overly dynamic channels. Being based on an Open Architecture, the board can be programmed in any manner and the user is not bound to fixed layers. The microphone preamps are the cleanest that one would hear on a live mixing board. The console has exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to use it in a variety of events that we have lined-up in the near future.”

Rajan Gupta, Managing Director, Hi-Tech Audio Systems states, ”SD10 with D2 Rack provides a dynamic combination. FOH and MOH applications can be controlled independently without using an analog split snake system. This gives a lot of headroom to the user to play around with gain sharing and without any stability issues.

Sanjay is very dedicated and passionate about the gear he purchases and we hope to serve his enthusiasm for best quality sound products to the fullest,” he added.

Digico SD10 for Mega Sound
Mega Sound has been associated with grand performances by artists like Kailash Kher, Arijit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal-Shekhar, Salim-Sulaiman, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan and others. The services provided by the firm range from live sound, DJ system, stage lighting and conference set-ups.

Siddharth Chauhan, Managing Director, Mega Sound said, “We work across different applications and SD10 is the right addition to our existing stock. The medium frame console benefits from the power and purity of Stealth Digital Processing. Utilizing a single chip Super FPGA design, it gives unparalleled sonic performance and, in conjunction with the new D2 Rack, can run at 96kHz sample rate. The SD10 with Stealth Core2 upgrade boasts 132 processing channels at 48kHz/96kHz, Standard channel processing, whether inputs or outputs, includes Channel Delay, Single and Multi Channel Presets, Dual insert points, Hi- and Lo-pass filters @ 24dB/octave, four-band parametric EQ with band curve selection, 218 Dynamic EQ processors, 218 Multiband Compressors and 218 DiGiTubes. At the rear of the SD Ten, there is an abundance of local I/O: eight mic inputs, eight line inputs, eight mono AES I/O, two MADI connections with redundant cabling connections; and 16 GPI and GPO connections.”

He further states, ”The D2-Rack delivered has 48 mic/line inputs and 32 outputs, all working at 24bit/96kHz and the connection to the D2-Rack is via BNC MADI, which leads to more flexibility and expansion. ”

The console was recently employed for the Salim-Sulaiman show that witnessed close to 5000 attendees.

“The entire system was simple to set up and it all worked perfectly. It is light to travel, fits into small venues and is priced great!” added Siddharth.

“SD10 is an amazing console to work with. We are pleased to serve Mega Sound with this awesome product and are confident that we will see many more such associations happening in the near future,” said Rajan Gupta, Managing Director, Hi-Tech Audio Systems.

Adding SD10 to the company’s inventory, Siddharth is hopeful to fetch more business for Mega Sound.
