Amate introduces NÍTID active speaker series
Amate Audio has introduced the first model in its new ‘NÍTID’ ultra-compact performance loudspeaker
series – the N12SM.
NÍTID comes from the Latin word nitidus, meaning bright, glistening or lustrous, and nitēre,
to shine.
The name is an inspiration for the loudspeaker series that celebrates 45 years of Amate
Audio.
The new N12SM is a highly portable and powerful stage monitor with superb musical performance
and pristine sound, offering outstanding vocal response, low-distortion mid and low range
frequencies, thanks to its exceptional 12” LF and 1.75” HF neodymium drivers.
NÍTID is a new active system series that employs the very latest digital amplification and processing
technologies, in symbiosis with advanced acoustic research, to achieve exceptional performance levels
from ultra compact speaker cabinets.
Distinguishing details include the speaker grille, designed for an attractive appearance, maximum protection,
and with the best perforation coefficient in the market, for improved sound quality. The Polyurea finish
offers durable protection for the birch-ply cabinet, and electronic circuits and controls are smartly
protected against moisture. A wide range of accessories is provided for whatever the application is.
The integrated ‘plug & play’ active power and control system includes DSP presets for rapid setup and
amazing sound, and the comprehensive control interface includes instantly recallable presets for setting
up the NÍTID in just a few seconds. The accurate match between transducers, DSP and amplifiers provide a
fully optimized system for the most demanding applications.
