Notorious attracts independent music talent



Composer-songwriter Vipin Mishra and screenwriter-filmmaker Atul Sabharwal have come together to start record label Notorious. The two have collaborated earlier on various projects ranging from feature film (Aurangzeb), TV Series (Powder) and documentary (In Their Shoes). Notorious’ first release will be the single Kya Tu Jaane Na by Vipin Mishra Project (VMP). Last year, VMP had released their single Chalo Chalen Kahin through Times Music which got notable traction on YouTube. Notorious will focus to build its A&R only by attracting independent music talent from across India, musicians who have something to say, something that is a reflection of their personality, of their emotions and of their environment. As label owners Vipin Mishra and Atul Sabharwal will produce music video for the musicians they pick to be a part of Notorious. The video will be released through Notorious’ YouTube channel which has a promotional tie-up with Qyuki. Notorious also plans to release a 33 rpm disc of their best productions every year.
