Audio-Technica Launches Two New Moving Magnet DJ Cartridges


Audio technical has launched AT-XP5 and AT-XP7, two new moving magnet DJ phono cartridges. The new cartridges combine specialist DJ requirements with superior high-fidelity sound. Both the AT-XP5 and AT-XP7 have been designed to be robust and reliable, with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical bonded stylus and a tracking force range of 2.0 to 4.0 grams, offering the ultimate tracking ability for even the widest grooves and deepest bass.

This tracking ability is combined with a powerful output level, with the AT-XP5 giving 5.5 mV and the AT-XP7 giving 6.0 mV. Both cartridges feature a highly rigid, lightweight polyphenylene sulfide (PPS)/glass fiber body for minimized vibrations, and the cartridges are also designed to give maximum visibility of the stylus tip for accurate cueing. The new DJ cartridges from Audio-Technica give DJ’s superior sound without compromise.
