Void Acoustics has announced the appointment of Sam Brandon as its new Managing
Director, marking a
leadership transition at the British loudspeaker manufacturer. Brandon takes over the role from
Co-founder Alex Skan, who has held the position since 2016. Skan will remain actively
involved with
the company, supporting its strategic direction and internal culture.
Founded more than twenty years ago by Rog Mogale and Alex Skan, Void Acoustics has
developed a
reputation for producing loudspeaker systems that are both technologically advanced and visually
distinctive. Under Skan's leadership, the company expanded its global footprint, strengthening its
presence across international markets and building a robust partner and distribution network. H
Audio are Void Acoustics official distributors in India.
Reflecting on his time as Managing Director, Skan stated: "I'm excited to welcome our new Managing
Director, Sam, to the Void team. While I will be transitioning out of the Managing Director role, I
will remain actively involved with Void Acoustics, supporting our team and contributing to the
vision and culture that define our success.
"What started as a passionate pursuit to create exceptional loudspeaker systems has evolved into
something much more profound. We've moved beyond just a brand; we've built a movement. From
respected pioneers to a true cult following, our community's dedication is the greatest achievement
we could ask for."
Skan expressed his appreciation for the people who have supported Void Acoustics over the years: "I
am deeply grateful to our incredible team, partners, and customers who have been part of this
journey so far. I have no doubt that the future of Void Acoustics is brighter than ever, and I look
forward to playing a continued role in its next exciting chapter."
During Skan's tenure, Void strengthened its internal capabilities with key appointments, including
the recent onboarding of Andy Rigler as Head of Sales. These developments align with the company's
broader strategy to reinforce its leadership team and drive operational excellence.
Incoming Managing Director, Sam Brandon brings a combination of technical expertise and strategic
leadership experience. With a background in engineering and commercial roles across the EMEA region,
Brandon has held senior positions both at manufacturing firms and distribution companies. Most
recently, he served as CEO of the EAV Group, an audio distribution group with operations in
ten
European countries. Prior to that, he was Director of Audio at HARMAN Professional Studios,
overseeing a portfolio of nine audio brands across the region.
Speaking on his new role, Brandon said: "After 20 years of admiring Void Acoustics from afar, I'm
incredibly honoured to join as Managing Director. No other brand looks or sounds quite like Void.
Its commitment to elevating sound into an art form and its bold design philosophy set it apart in an
industry often defined by conformity. I'm excited to build on the company's strong foundation and
lead it into a new era of innovation and growth."
Brandon's appointment reflects Void Acoustics' ongoing commitment to both technical development and
artistic design. His experience in shaping audio strategies across large, multi-brand operations is
expected to complement Void's distinctive approach to sound system manufacturing.
As the company looks ahead, the leadership transition signifies a new chapter in Void Acoustics'
evolution. With Skan continuing to guide the company's core values and Brandon taking on day-to-day
leadership responsibilities, Void appears positioned to maintain its trajectory of international
growth and technical innovation.
