Sun Infonet, Meyer Sound's authorised distributor in India, pulled the curtain back on TIGRA, a line array that spent the better part of the year teasing the global audience after a sneak peek at the NAMM Show in January 2026. By the time the doors opened, the venue was already full of the people who matter most in this business: rental company owners who live and die by uptime, and audio engineers whose ears have been shaped by decades of live mixes. This wasn't a trade show demo. It was a homecoming for a product built, in many ways, with venues exactly like this one in mind.

"TIGRA is about a continuation of what Meyer Sound has started with PANTHER," said Neeraj Chandra, Director of Sun Infonet, framing the night's centerpiece. The pitch was simple and specific: for venues that don't need PANTHER's scale but still demand its discipline at smaller festival stages, houses of worship, theatres, convention centres - TIGRA is the answer Meyer Sound's engineering team has been quietly building toward. Chandra called it a system engineered, fittingly, for everywhere. That promise was put to the test almost immediately.

Rohit Kulkarni's band Flipside opened the evening, and all doubts about TIGRA’s capabilities were put to rest immediately. The set moved without friction across genres, through every gear change, the system paired with flown 2100-LFC subs held its composure. The system gave the band the headroom that lets musicians stop thinking about the PA and just play. Under the hood, that composure comes from a genuine architectural shift. TIGRA's compact L model reaches a startling 146dB maximum SPL (140.5dB AES75 linear) without losing articulation, even for listeners standing close to the box - no small feat for a system this size. The low end draws on the same controlled cardioid pattern that made PANTHER a trusted name, keeping bass tight and directional rather than smearing across the room. And perhaps most significantly, Galileo GALAXY DSP now lives onboard via GEN-1 processing, built directly into the loudspeaker itself.

Bollywood composer Salim Merchant took to the stage as guest of honor, joining Flipside for a performance. This underlined a bigger story unfolding around Sun Infonet: the company's fresh partnership with Salim-Sulaiman's Bhoomi Project 2026, the independent musical movement curated by the duo, for which Meyer Sound and Shure both distributed in India by Sun Infonet, now serve as official audio partners.
