HARMAN Professional Solutions, announced the JBL Professional 3 Series MkIII powered studio monitor family. Representing the most extensive redesign of the 3 Series platform to date, the new lineup includes the JBL 305P MkIII, 306P MkIII and 308P MkIII powered studio monitors, along with the JBL 310S MkIII powered subwoofer.
The redesigned high-frequency driver works with an updated JBL Image Control Waveguide to provide a wider, more consistent listening area and stable stereo imaging across the workspace. New low-frequency drivers feature stiffer cone materials, upgraded magnet assemblies and aluminium shorting rings to improve power handling while reducing distortion. A front-firing JBL Slipstream™ port design helps deliver more predictable bass performance when monitors are placed on desks, near walls or in other space-constrained environments.
The MkIII family also introduces new Class D amplification, providing increased output, greater headroom and lower system noise. Balanced Neutrik® combo inputs and selectable +4 dBu/-10 dBV input sensitivity simplify integration with common studio interfaces, mixers and playback systems.
All full-range models include four onboard room controls offering 81 EQ combinations to compensate for speaker placement and room conditions, without requiring calibration software. Integrated mounting points support desktop, wall, ceiling and monitor-arm installations, enabling stereo, surround and immersive monitoring configurations. The JBL 310S MkIII subwoofer extends low-frequency response to 26Hz and features selectable crossover settings for flexible system integration.
The 3 Series MkIII range combines redesigned high- and low-frequency drivers, an updated Image Control Waveguide and a front-firing Slipstream port to improve stereo imaging and low-frequency performance. New Class D amplification delivers increased output with lower system noise, while balanced Neutrik combo inputs and selectable input sensitivity simplify integration with studio equipment. Available in three monitor sizes, the range supports music production, content creation, video editing and multimedia workflows.
