Renowned mixing and mastering engineer Aftab Khan made a special appearance at the Pink Noise Professionals booth during Day 2 and Day 3 of PALM Expo 2026. Through live demonstrations, he offered visitors an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the techniques, workflows, and creative decisions involved in recording and mixing projects.

During the demonstrations, Aftab Khan spoke about his long-standing association with Apogee, having used the brand's products for nearly 25 years. A key highlight was his detailed breakdown of “Sukoon,” sung by Arijit Singh which featured on the Bhoomi 2025 album, where he explained how vocal processing was handled, how tonal balance was refined, while dynamics and spatial depth were shaped to support the song's emotional impact. He also shared insights into “Chhaila” from Bhoomi 2024, performed by Shreya Ghoshal and Sunidhi Chauhan, discussing the techniques used to integrate vocals within the arrangement while preserving clarity, musicality, and overall impact. Through these real-world examples, visitors gained a practical understanding of how professional productions evolve from the recording stage to the final master.
