Elation Lighting has announced the release of the KL CORE IP, the latest addition to its KL 'Key Light' Series of LED luminaires. Designed to meet the needs of today's fast-paced and light-critical environments, the KL CORE IP offers exceptional versatility by functioning as an ellipsoidal, Fresnel, or monolight. This innovative fixture promises to deliver broadcast-quality illumination in a variety of settings, from outdoor film sets to indoor TV studios and theatres.

The KL CORE IP is particularly well-suited for outdoor applications, thanks to its rugged, IP65-rated design. This rating ensures that the fixture is protected against water, dust, and other environmental factors, allowing it to perform reliably in harsh outdoor conditions. For ellipsoidal applications, the fixture can be paired with an optional KL CORE IP Shutter Barrel and used with any of the IP67-sealed lens tubes to function as a traditional LED ellipsoidal.

Additionally, the KL CORE IP is compatible with most third-party shutter barrel assemblies, allowing for seamless integration into existing setups. This flexibility ensures that the fixture can easily adapt to a variety of production environments.

The versatility of the KL CORE IP is further enhanced by its ability to transform into different lighting formats. An optional KL CORE IP Fresnel Lens converts the fixture into a zoomable Fresnel, while an optional KL CORE IP Bowens Mount allows it to function as a monolight or lamp head. This enables the fixture to be used with softboxes, lanterns, open-face reflectors, and other beam modifiers, making it an ideal choice for television, film, and broadcast applications.

The KL CORE IP offers fully variable 16-bit colour temperature adjustment, ranging from 2400K to 8500K, allowing for ultimate precision in adapting to various lighting needs. Additionally, the fixture includes CMY emulation, green/magenta shift, and a virtual gel library, making it easy for lighting designers to access vibrant LED colours and pre-mixed shades.
