The Versatile Rogue R3 Wash

The Rogue series showcases an ever-more powerful and brighter moving wash with the addition of the new Rogue R3 Wash. It features 37 15-watt RGBW LEDS and delivers intense outputs of 21,000 lux at 5 meters when operating at 12⁰ zoom.

Going beyond brightness and dependability, the latest member of the Rogue family is loaded with performance features that reflect the needs of touring, rental and permanent install applications.

“We developed the Rogue R3 Wash to be a complete design tool. Aside from its very bright output and smooth color mixing, it is also an extremely versatile fixture in terms of dimming, pixel mapping and programming options,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet.

Exemplifying this versatility is the Rogue R3 Wash’s dimming capabilities. The fixture has six distinct dimming modes to cover a wide range of design options. Smooth control of fades is enhanced by the fixture’s 16-bit dimming of the master dimmer as well as of individual colors. The colors themselves are rendered realistically, thanks in part to a unique lens design.

With nine zones of LED control, the Rogue R3 Wash is well suited for pixel mapping. A wide zoom range of 12⁰ to 49⁰ allows the fixture to provide tight or broad coverage on the stage or dance floor. The quickness of the fixture’s zooming feature as well as the speed of its pan and tilt movements, can be utilized to create memorable eye candy effects. Efficient for aerial washing, the intensely bright fixture produces very evenly dispersed light.

In keeping with its versatility, the Rogue R3 Wash features a range of control options. Simple and complex DMX channel profiles -28, 58 and 99 personalities, are offered for programming versatility. RDM is also offered to give end-users the ability to monitor fixture functions and make changes to menu functions remotely. The fixture has 3- and 5-pin DMX connectors as well as powerCON in and out.

User-friendly, the Rogue R3 Wash has an easy-to-read OLED display showing straightforward and effective menu options. A ruggedly dependable workhorse, it nevertheless takes up minimal space on a rig and in a trailer. Like its predecessors in the Rogue family, the new Rogue R3 Wash is a fixture suitable for a wide variety of real world applications.
